The Space Fireworks

Scientists are preoccupied as a huge cloud approaches the Via Lacteal. Well, nothing bad is going to happen, but scientist will receive a wide range of new stars to investigate.

But it is unknown till nowadays whether people will be able to watch this phenomenon as collision will take place in 30 millions years.

The Smith Cloud named in honour of the astronaut who discovered it was already known to the world since 1962. However till nowadays scientists don't know whether it moves in the direction of the Via Lacteal or moves away from it.

After studying the cloud, astronauts said that its length is 11 thousands light years and its width is 2.5 light years. This cloud contains a great doze of hydrogen that will be enough to form million stars such as the sun. And this cloud moves in the direction of our galaxy with the speed 240 kilometres per second.

In several million years this cloud will enter the zone of attraction of the Via Lacteal and under the influence of the galaxy gravity it may be divided into several parts.

According to scientists of people had the chance to watch this phenomenon with naked eye, they would see the real show of fireworks.

In few years it will be the real space New Year holiday. And this phenomenon doesn't threaten Earth as it is going to take place at the distance of 40 thousand light years.
