The climate of planets

With the help of investigations of Mars and Venus, it is possible to predict the future changes in the climate of our planet.

According to scientists the climates of Venus and Mars were similar to the climate of Earth long time ago. But then in the result of ecological catastrophes their climates changed a lot changing all nature and the surface of two planets.

The planet Venus suffered a lot from uncontrolled greenhouse effect as the result of increase of the sun radiation. According to researches the brightness of the sun increased a lot for the last 4 milliard years. And this provoked the evaporation of the water from the planet and conglomeration of it in the atmosphere of the planet.

The water steams provoked the further heating of the planet that took the form of uncontrolled greenhouse effect. Astronomers consider that simulation of the climate that existed on this planet before the catastrophe may help to determine the probability of initiation of this catastrophe on our planet.

With the help of special apparatus scientists get the information on chemical structure and the speed of gases that leave the atmosphere of Venus. They also watch the movement of clouds that characterize the behaviour of the planet.

According to scientists such investigations will allow people to get to know the period when the water disappeared from the surface of Venus. Received data may be also used to make climatic models of Earth. Despite differences in climates of two planets, physical processes of both planets are the same.

And the climate of Mars may also be useful in predicting the future of Earth. The processes that took place on Venus and on Mars are different but both of them may be harmful for our planet.
